About Heroes Walk
Our mission is to provide our heroes the opportunity to gather in a tranquil environment and to connect with others who have similar life experiences. We aim to offer a respite retreat facility to those who serve or have served our country and our communities – military members, veterans, law enforcement, firefighters, first responders, and non-compensated family caregivers.
“As a 100% service-connected disabled Veteran and senior citizen, I appreciate the experiences and journey these individuals have traveled,” said founder Don Johnson. “I understand the pain veterans have suffered, the isolation of the caregiver, and the dangers law enforcement, firefighters, or first responders face who put their lives on the line each day for their community or the family caregiver who holds these families together – no one deserves a retreat as much as these individuals.”
Heroes Walk, LLC has passed the rigorous certification, verification and evaluation process and is now authorized to display the SDVOSB logo on our website as seen below.
LOCATION
We are located in Central Alabama, on the corner of Co. Road 222 and Co. Road 331 in the Crane Hill community of Cullman County. Only a few minutes from Trident Marina on Lewis Smith Lake, one of the deepest and clearest lakes in the South with a 500-mile shore line known for its trophy small-mouth bass.
